這部分內容主要考察的是動詞-ing形式的知識點：

動詞-ing形式（v-ing）包括傳統語法的動名詞和現在分詞兩個部分。動詞的-ing形式具有動詞的特徵，同時又具有名詞、形容詞和副詞的特徵，因此它可以在句中作主語、表語、定語、賓語、賓語補足語和狀語。（又稱現在分詞，現在進行式，動名詞)。

分詞短語作定語時放在後，並且名詞與現在分詞之間存有邏輯上的主謂關系。這是區分現在分詞作定語和動名詞作定語的判斷方法之一。

要想用現在分詞來作賓補，只能是用於這些詞後，但是並不代表這些動詞後的賓補形式都要用現在分詞（有些後面可以加不帶to的不定式作賓補）。
